After connecting on Hinge, we met for Sunday night dinner at the Rustic, a Dallas restaurant and bar with live music. We immediately hit it off, barely stopping to breathe or look at the menu. Our strongest memory of that date is having to ask the waitress "Five more minutes!?" about six times before we finally paused enough to decide on our order. We found out that night that we both were attending church services at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, and that connection has served as an anchor in our relationship ever since! Fast forward many dates, trips, and a pandemic later, Cameron coordinated a dream proposal focused on one of Catherine's favorite things...wine!! After a Brennan Family trip to Lake Tahoe, we continued on to Napa Valley for our first day of wine tastings. As we approached Chappellet Winery, Melanie (Cameron's Mom) shared that an order pickup was not going according to plan and the rest of the family would need to help her pick it up while Cameron and Catherine notified the Winery of their delay. This should have been my (Catherine's) first clue, as Melanie never has any holes in her planning! Catherine's confusion grew throughout the tour each time only two glasses were set up for the "family" tasting. We ended the tour looking out at the vines on Pritchard Hill. As if the view weren't breathtaking enough, Cameron began his proposal! Anyone who knows Cameron well knows he expresses his love beautifully and strongly. Adding to the surprise of the proposal, the Brennan family coordinated the Fonvielle family joining at the winery for a celebration-filled weekend. What a way to start out celebrating our engagement season with the ones we love. We look forward to continuing the celebration with you!
